What's the difference between daily-wear and extended-wear lenses?

A daily wear contact lens is designed to be removed prior to sleeping. An extended wear contact lens is designed for continuous overnight wear, usually for 6 or more consecutive nights. There is also lenses that is suited for even longer wear periods, these are made of materials such as silicone hydrogels and allows wear periods of up to 30 consecutive nights. These contact lenses should be discarded after the specified length of time, never use the lenses longer than they are made for, it can harm your eyes.
The downside with extended wears lenses and continuous wear lenses is the increased risk for corneal infections and corneal ulcers, primarily due to poor care and cleaning of the lenses, tear film instability, and bacterial stagnation.

If I only wear my 2-week contact lenses some of the days, do I still have to replace them every 2 weeks?

No. The 2 weeks recommended refers to the actual wearing time so they may last longer than 2 weeks if you are not wearing them every day.

Contact lenses and svimming?

It is not recomended, there are bacteria in the water that can adhere to your lenses and cause infections. Using googles is rekommended if you need lenses while svimming.

Contact lenses and sport?

Yes, todays close-fitting contacts stay on your eyes, even during vigorous activity.

Pain when using contact lenses?

Initial irritation with new contact lenses can accure but after a brief adjustment period, most people report they can no longer feel contact lenses on their eyes.
